We have a variety of different analysis techniques to capture the business need and document it formally. Typically we use the following stages:
- Initial meeting with project owner
- Identify stakeholders in the business
- Interview key stakeholders, one-to-one
- If appropriate, perform user and focus group interviews
- Collate information into specification document, using existing templates to ensure all relevant areas are covered
- Show draft document to key stakeholders
- Apply stakeholder feedback to document
- Publish specification document
