We built this for a local football club – it tells members about news, upcoming matches, provides a match diary and shows club youtube videos.Â
Fans can sign up to notifications and get updates sent by the club to provide up to date news and match information direct to their phones.
A Community App Featuring Content Gathering and Push Notifications
This app features integration to MyClubPro – a common website hosting platform for local football clubs. We extract fixture lists and events from the club website www.nptfc.co.uk which is hosted on MyClubPro. We also pull in club video playlists from Youtube using the Youtube API.Â
Fans can sign up to app notifications which club administrators can send from a web portal using Google’s Firebase Cloud Notification system.Â
This is a straightforward implementation that merges data from several sources and leveraging third party cloud services, adding them together to build a useful service for fans.
